Other People’s Business World comprises one woman shows
which I have written to perform as entertainment for corporate, fund raising and
social events, and at private parties. Shows can be performed at any location:
Offices, Convention/Seminar Centers, Restaurants, Cabaret Rooms, Theatres,
Living Rooms, Swimming Pools... Any place. Any time. All I need is
room to stand upright!
In the comedy, Alien From Down Under my story
begins in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
I’m in my bedroom awaiting my New
York Attorney to call and tell me that the petition
for my Green Card has been approved. During the next thirty minutes of
sketches and neuroticism the phone does ring and I begin my hysterical,
relentless and hopeful journey to New
York. With my New
York survival kit; pocket knife, patience and vegemite, I
arrive at JFK.
In Every Night Something Awful! Daisy
Belle, a bag lady, used to sing to troops in the war. Now she only has toy
rabbits in her cart and the garbage men to entertain. Daisy Belle is a song and
dance of individualism and ideology that refreshes the human spirit and belies
that once you’re down, you’re out.
Who Do We Have Here? explores the issue of racism and
discrimination. I play three very different characters who are funny, sad
and ignorant. This show usually generates a great deal of post performance
discussion.
